MentalHelpNet 800-273-TALK (8255) or Visit their website HERE
NAMI– (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Visit them HERE Many resources can be found, not only for those struggling, but for caregivers and family as well.
Out of the Darkness Walks- Sometimes just DOING something, can help. I’ve found that participating in our local Out of the Darkness Walk not only raises money for suicide prevention, but it lends a sense of community. Not many people who struggle with their mental health issues feel a true connection with others and having the opportunity to walk, side by side, with people who live with mental illness, offers a chance to feel the bond that is generally lacking in our lives. Learn more about your local walk, HERE.
